"I can’t say enough about the great job the Hive did recording, mixing and mastering our debut CD.  All of the staff at the Hive were great to work with and demonstrated time and time again that they cared about the project’s success.  I can’t say that about any other studio I have been to. We worked primarily with Chris Pyle, who not only delivered the sound we were looking for, he also helped to keep us on task for our budget needs and provided many musical ideas and suggestions that we used on the CD.  I would definitely recommend the Hive to anyone who is serious about their project."  - Ken

The Sins | Goth/Metal/Rock
Bob and Chris at The Hive recently completed mixing and mastering The Sins 3rd CD "The Undone".The sound quality on the disc is top notch and it's The Hive that made that happen. I was amazed at their critical listening ability. Quality gear and engineering at a reasonable price.

Thanks guys,

Jamie Knox. Drummer for The  Sins.

"Our band had a great experience at the Hive and all of us were amazed at the quality of the product we received. The studio is comfortable and Bob and Jon are great to work with. It was the perfect place for our band to record a demo. Bob is the real deal and knows how to get it done. He has a good ear for music and a good instinct. His experience and proficiency allowed us to stay focused and on target. We are all looking forward to going back."

This Band Is A Time Machine

My band had the pleasure of recording at The Hive Studios about a month ago. Very pro setup and Chris Pyle was very professional. The rates are incredibly reasonable and you get a great product out of it. Any upcoming or existing band should look into recording there. I plan on working with Chris and The Hive again once we’re ready to record a full-length album.

Freddy Parish | Big Beat / Grime / Country
Robert is a knowledgeable and non-pretentious engineer who was a pleasure to work with.  He understand band psychology and helped us maintain a good dynamic, which to me is as important as technical knowledge when it comes to recording.  The demo tracks we recorded with him has great sonic diversity and we are happy with it.

We just recorded our new demo with Robert at The Hive and we're very happy campers. 2 days of recording and a half day of mixing and we had exactly what we needed - a great demo for a great price! Robert is responsible, easy to work with, and has great ears. Whether you need a demo or a full length CD, check him out.

The Deepsleep Narcotics Co. | Electronica / Turntablism / Experimental
Here at the Deepsleep Narcotics Co, we tend to make music that confuses sound engineers. We combine analog bass and drums with computers and singing and digital orchestras. The logistics are sometimes daunting. Robert took on this challenge and we recorded four songs in three days. The recording was a breeze. The Hive was fully equipped with everything we needed to lay down the tracks, mix, and master them. Robert was great to work with, and the final recordings sound fantastic! Highly recommended!

Rashid Baig
The recording experience for me was great! I love the whole process involved in getting a song recorded. Robert and John at The Hive Recording Studios were professional and great at helping me get my ideas recorded. I look Foward to recording with them again soon. I played all the insturments except for the drums, Robert introduced me to a drummer named Mike, and after discussing the songs I was sure I wanted him to play the drums during recording and I was really pleased with the end result. If you are looking for a great place to record with cool people and at a great price...The Hive is a good bet, A relaxed atmosphere is the best way to let the creativeness flow.

Thanks,

Suicide Kingz
I have known Mr.Fox for many years in and out of music, his ability be able to work with clients as us Suicide KingZ, was great help when we spent 2 days @ The HIVE Studios. He was direct no-nonsense, which allowed us to get down to putting tracks down, even with the inexperience of some band members, Mr.Fox was able to relate and give a clear picture to thought band members.

Suicide Kingz, is looking forward to working @ The Hive Studio's NEW yes NEW dig'Z to work on old and expand on new songs that will be out either end of Spring or Early Summer!

Thanks for ALL you do Mr.Fox and the gremlins behind the scenes @ The Hive Studios!!

Ambiance | Jazz
The Hive and Robert were just what we needed for our demo recording project.  After having a difficult studio experience somewhere else it was a pleasure to discover the Hive and come away with a quality recording.  Robert went above and beyond taking great care in assuring that we were satisfied with the end result.  He was very easy to work with, knowledgeable, and sensitive to our style of music.  I would recommend Robert and the Hive studio to anyone who wants quality results and a great recording experience.

The Hive was an awesome place for us to work. The environment really kept our creative juices flowing. Working with Bob was great! He knows his stuff! In the past we've had bad experiences with uneducated sound techs. The Hive was different. Bob really knew what we needed, and knew what he had to do to get the best out of us. There was no guessing about how to do things. Everything was simple and to the point. The sound is so good for how much it costs to record here! Many other studios of this quality charge up to four times as much as The Hive!  You can't find this level of quality and service for the same price anywhere else. Simply put; The Hive is where it's at.

Larry Murante | Acoustic / Folk / Folk Rock
When walking into a studio for the first time, the most important ingredient for me is how easy the engineer is to work with. Working with Robert at The Hive was not only fun, he cared about how the experience was going for me. Robert has a good working knowledge of his gear and a searing focus on his work. Not only did he offer creative suggestions, he was open to ideas he'd never tried. Judging from the roster of satisfied artists he's worked with, it's safe to say he's open to, and successful with, various genre's and styles of music.

Grim Smiley  | Hard Rock/Alternative/Acoustic
We just wanted to drop a line saying that Robert and the folks at The Hive are a class act. Our experience working with The Hive was one of the best we've had at a studio, as Robert worked with us and our needs to produce an authentic yet slick product that we are proud to push. And, it helps that Robert is just an all-around kick-ass guy, who knows what it's like to be a musician who pours his heart and soul into his music and doesn't want an obtuse, knuckle-headed engineer to muck it up.

While every studio is different and some will fit your needs better than others, we can whole-heartedly recommend The Hive to anyone who is looking for a solid recording at a fair price.

ROCK!!!

Dave Hannon
"I would recommend Hive Studios to anyone. Bob’s approach is direct and professional, but not without having a good time. He balances being “laid back” with “let’s get down to business” extremely well. Perhaps his best quality as an engineer is that he deeply cares about getting his client the best possible product, and will make sure that the finished recordings are polished with a high-grade gloss before finalizing anything. This is one of the areas I feel separates Bob from his peers; simply put, he truly cares.

The studio itself is equipped with everything a serious recording artist could possibly need, from top-of-the-line mics to premier recording and editing software, to separate recording booths for nearly every instrument. In this new facility, Bob has installed a huge sound-proof window between what I call his “mixing lounge” (equipped with really comfortable furniture) and the recording booths that allows the artist and producer to see each other, which, believe it or not, helps a lot.

He is a very capable musician as well. He crafted some excellent guitar work on one of my recordings that I am very happy with. It’s been said before, Bob knows his stuff!

For anyone looking for top-quality recording at affordable rates, The Hive Recording Studios is the best deal around. I strongly recommend it to all.

Walking into the Hive, anyone can tell that this place is all about the music.  It is an environment of very little intimidation and recording seems to come out very easy.  Robert's approach to recording / artist mangement was a perfect fit for us.  He is willing to step outside the box and give us his completely unbiased opinion.  If a take sucks, he doesn't get frustrated or pissed off, he simply says, 'no, let's do it again'.  Robert's straightforward and no bull approach allowed us to capture the essence of music at a fraction of the cost we may have paid elsewhere.  Hands down, we had a great experience and look forward to working with Robert and the Hive again in the near future.

Thanks, Gin Betty
